"Charpai" is an illustrated storybook inspired by an interview with my grandfather, capturing a childhood memory centered around a mischievous village dog named Maya. Told through a comic-style narrative, the story unfolds around a charpai—a simple woven cot that played a significant role in his early years. This project blends oral history with visual storytelling, preserving a glimpse of rural life through personal anecdotes and expressive illustrations.
